Summary[edit]

Description
English: Using the power of the sun to burn objects and boil water.

Fresnel lenses are used as the screen in old, big-screen TVs (ones that use cathode ray tubes), which means you can find them for free in many alleyways. They can be used for burning and melting objects, and are a ideal source of fire if/when the zombie apocalypse comes.

If you chose to do this at home, use extreme caution as the focal point (aka bright spot) gets upwards of 1,000 K (~ 1300F). So be careful and have fun!
