| Description |
English: The name is to my knowledge Paidang sabardang (or savardang). Savardang or savardang means "dance" in Torgut or Oird dialect.
In Mongolia I asked many people if they know traditional melodies for the Tovshuur, Shanz or Dombra. And they told me there are three: Khovog, Yereen Khavirga and Juder. And there is a quite complicate piece is the "Ulgeriin Kholboo" for Shanz or 3-stringed Tovshuur in g-d-g (Sol Re Sol) tuning and that's all... but in fact there is much more. But not known in an academic way.... For example a Balchin Kheer exists, even a jonon morinii yavdal - which starts similar to this song here. And some Morin huur pieces like the Guilgee played by M. Ganbold sounds as if being trans formed from a Dombra or Tovshuur piece. |
