English: A meteorite fell to Earth 3.46 billion years ago. According to geologists who published their research in the journal Precambrian Research, in the early stages of its existence, the Earth, like many other planets and satellites in the solar system, was subjected to large-scale “asteroid bombing”. Water and various chemical compounds were brought to the planet, which subsequently allowed life to originate on Earth. The find indicates that at a time when this bombardment was already completed, the Earth collided with an asteroid with a diameter. This stone find and photograph, according to Professor Anatoly Berezovsky (Krivoy Rog, Department of Geology), is an indirect confirmation of the processes taking place on the territory of Krivoy Rog. "Wound" on the stone, a consequence of the huge impact force and thermal processes. At a depth of approximately 30 kilometers, a tectonic fault in the plates of the earth's crust exists at this location. There are very few such properties of stone in view of industrial developments, but friction breccias - in the thickness of rocks during tectonic movements, when crushing rocks along faults - are common.
