Shortcuts: COM:AN/B • COM:AN/P • COM:RFPP

This is a place where users can communicate with administrators, or administrators with one another. You can report vandalism, problematic users, or anything else that needs an administrator's intervention. Do not report child pornography or other potentially illegal content here; e-mail legal-reports@wikimedia.org instead. If reporting threatened harm to self or others also email emergency@wikimedia.org.

Report users for clear cases of vandalism. Block requests for any other reason should be reported to the blocks and protections noticeboard.


Report disputes with users that require administrator assistance. Further steps are listed at resolve disputes.


Reports that do not suit the vandalism noticeboard may be reported here. Requests for page protection/unprotection could also be requested here.


Other reports that require administrator assistance which do not fit in any of the previous three noticeboards may be reported here. Requests for history merging or splitting should be filed at COM:HMS.

✓ Done blocked three days. I left a message on your talk page. While I do agree removing the speedy deletion tag is not the happiest approach to such controversies, I don't think it was meant as vandalism and they had a reasonable motive, given that the Vogue Taiwan files (owned directly by Conde Nast) are legitimately released under a CC license. There is no reason to legitimately doubt that. I have blocked Revenge as they used an insult in an edit summary, which is unacceptable. Bedivere (talk) 02:15, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
and on your side, edit warring over a speedy deletion tag is not fine either. You saw there was disagreement over the speedy deletion tag, you could have nominated the files for deletion yourself. While Commons currently has no formal three revert rule, this doesn't mean that edit warring is acceptable. That is why I have issued a three day block for you too. I am open to reviewing an unblock request if you make one. User has repeatedly uploaded images from the web as his own. His talk page is filled with deleted images because of copyright and I traced 6 them to their source:

    The user doesn't understand copyright law. On his talk page he responded to another violation with: "ا اخي الكريم الصورة موجودة بالمنطقة عندي و انا ابن المنطقة اي خرق و اي حقوق تتحدثوناتمنى ان ترجع الصورة" which translates to "The picture is in my area, and The picture if from my region. What violation and what rights are you talking about? I hope that the picture will be returned."

    Or in another violation: صار عندي يقين مليار بالمئةانه لايوجد معيار واضح للتطوير العمل الويكي فقط مبني على شخصنة لا ااكثر فا النشر موجود على الواقع لا من كوكب ثاني مثال واحد لا للحصر الشاعرة و الكاتبة و الروائية و اقاصة السورية فوزية المرعي اسم معروف وقامة واعطيت المواقع للستزادة منكم و النضر فيما اكتب مهما كتبت انا و انتم لايغيربارض الواقع بشيء الموضوع في هذه الحالة عندكم امانة ووجدان which translates to "I am 100% sure that there is no clear requirement to contributing to wiki.     I don't understand: in Commons/Zanekost/User rights my account is listed as Implicit member of: Autoconfirmed users.
    I reupladed sometimes files without any problem. The last one was the File:Donato creti, carlo besoli e nunzio ferrajoli, tomba allegorica di lord torrington, 1730 ca, f. carisbo.JPG on 9 July 2023. Had changed something after that date? Zanekost (talk) 16:10, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
