Español: El nombre "Trífida", fue acuñado por el astrónomo John Herschel, y significa "dividido en tres lóbulos", es una nebulosa tanto de emisión (parte rojiza) como de reflexión (parte azul), y de absorción (nebulosa oscura) al mismo tiempo. Se encuentra aproximadamente a 5500 años luz de distancia, ubicada en la constelación de Sagitario.
La imagen fue adquirida con un telescopio newtoniano, cámara astronómica mono refrigerada y dedicada, utilizando filtros de colores y luminancia (LRGB), todo montado sobre una montura ecuatorial motorizada. Se adquirieron múltiples horas de información para cada filtro en tomas individuales de 2 min, y se obtuvieron 4 apilados maestros mono los cuales al ser mezclados se obtiene la imagen a color. Para esta imagen, además de los filtros LRGB se empleó un filtro anti polución lumínica que filtra selectivamente las longitudes de onda de las principales fuentes de luz de una ciudad. Esto junto con el gran brillo de la nebulosa M20 permite que estas imágenes puedan ser realizadas desde ciudades con tanta polución lumínica como Córdoba. Fecha y Lugar de adquisición: Noviembre 2020, Córdoba Capital, Córdoba, Argentina. Equipo Principal: Cámara: ZWO ASI 1600 mm-pro, telescopio: SW Explorer 250pds, montura ecuatorial alemana motorizada: SW EQ6-R-Pro, enfocador electrónico: ZWO EAF, rueda de filtros: ZWO 7x2" EFW, filtros LRGB Optolong. Equipo guía: Telescopio guía: starguider 60/240 mm, cámara guía ZWO ASI 120mm mini. Tiempo total de integración: 10.5 h, compuesta de 164 tomas de 120” de L, 50 tomas de 120” de de R, 50 tomas de 120” de G, 50 tomas de 120” de B. Imágenes de calibración: 50 tomas “darks” y 50 tomas “flats” por filtro. The name "Trifid", was coined by astronomer John Herschel, and means "divided into three lobes", it is a nebula of both emission (reddish part) and reflection (blue part), and absorption (dark nebula) at the same time. It is approximately 5,500 light years away, located in the constellation of Sagittarius. The image was acquired with a Newtonian telescope, dedicated cooled mono astronomical camera, using color and luminance (LRGB) filters, all mounted on a motorized equatorial mount. Multiple hours of information were acquired for each filter in individual 2-min shots, and 4 mono master stacks were obtained, which when mixed yielded the color image. For this image, in addition to the LRGB filters, an anti-light pollution filter was used that selectively filters the wavelengths of the main light sources of a city. This, together with the great brightness of the M20 nebula, allows these images to be taken from cities with as much light pollution as Córdoba.
