Deutsch: Gedenktafel zur Erinnerung an Theodor Kiefer am Aasee-Rondell in Münster, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland
Theodor Philipp Gustav Stephan Kiefer wurde am 19. Januar 1907 in Münster in der Wohnung seiner Eltern Philipp und Auguste Kiefer geboren. Als er erst zwei Monaten volljährig war, durfte er am Bau des Großprojektes Aasee mitwirken. Theodor war Heizer und arbeitete als Bremser an den Kippwagen. Im Verlauf des 24. März 1928 geschah dann das Unglück: Einer der Kippwagen entgleiste, der junge Mann wurde getroffen und erlitt schwere Quetschungen an der Brust. Sofort wurde er mit dem Krankenwagen ins Krankenhaus gebracht, wo er noch am Abend gegen 21.30 Uhr starb. Seine Kollegen veranlasste der frühe Tod des jungen Manns zur Anfertigung der Erinnerungstafel, die an einer der Mauern am Nordende des Aasees befestigt wurde und noch heute dort hängt. Theodor Philipp Gustav Stephan Kiefer was born on January 19, 1907 in Münster in the apartment of his parents Philipp and Auguste Kiefer. When he was only two months of age, he was allowed to participate in the construction of the large Aasee project. Theodor was a stoker and worked as a brakeman on the dump trucks. During the course of March 24, 1928, disaster struck: one of the tipping wagons derailed, the young man was hit and suffered severe bruising to the chest. He was immediately taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he died that same evening at about 9:30 p.m. The young man’s untimely death prompted his colleagues to make the memorial plaque, which was attached to one of the walls at the north end of the Aasee and still hangs there today.
