Summary[edit]

Description
English: A "terrella", geophysical model glass chamber that simulates the plasma environment of solar system objects such as the Sun and the Earth. The Chamber was produced around 1900 (and managed) by Kristian Birkeland, at the University of Oslo. Birkeland conducted his famous astrophysical and aurora borealis studies using this model Chamber.
