| Description |
English: A row of furnaces in a science laboratory. In the foreground are four muffle furnaces: three are facing towards the camera, and one (to the right of the image) is facing away. The black cables descending from the conduit on the wall are the 415 V power cables which supply the furnaces. The maximum temperature of these furnaces is approximately 1400 °C. In the far corner of the room, part of an induction furnace is visible. The wooden handle visible near the muffle furnace facing away from the camera belongs to a set of metal tongs used to handle hot crucibles. |
