During June 23d a reception was tendered by the Facultyand Trustees of the Hahnemann College and Hospital to themembers of the Worlds HomcEopathic Congress, which hadheld a meeting at Atlantic City. The evening was devotedto an inspection of the buildings. The local committee, Drs.A. R. Thomas, John E. James and J. C. Guernsey, issued avery tasty card of invitation, having a picture of the Collegeon the cover, which was bound with the College colors. MEDICAL COLLEGE OF PHILADELPHIA. 279 October 2d, the Introductory Lecture being delivered by Dr.B. F. Betts. There were 281 matriculates. A notable event of the session of 1893-94 was the Hahne-mann College parade. The previous year there had been astreet parade of members of the various medical colleges inthe city. This year a union parade was planned, but whenit became known that the Hahnemann Boys were to lead theline, the students from the University declared that theywould not march back of the followers of Hahnemann, and,asserting that the parade in any case lacked dignity, sentword they would not parade. The Jefferson Boys andthe Pharmacy Boys followed. A meeting was held inHahnemann College, at which it was decided to parade, andthe Dental students also agreed to parade. So on Saturday,October 29th, the Dental and Hahnemann men started fromthe College, marching down Broad to South St., counter-marched to Chestnut, down Chestnut to Fifth, to Arch, upArch to Broad and passed in
