Description

Francesco Saverio Grue: Bildplatte (Ruinenarchitektur in Landschaft), ca. 1700–1749, Fayence (Scherben rötlich, Glasur grauweiß, Inglasurbemalung in Grün, Braun, Blau und Gelb), Höhe: 19,6 cm, Breite: 25,1 cm, Tiefe: 1,5 cm, Museum für angewandte Kunst Leipzig.

Der Brunnen und die Ruine links und die drei Bäume rechts bilden ein Repoussoir, welches als Rahmen den Blick auf die Architektur in der Bildmitte lenkt. Die fünf kleinen Staffage- bzw. Rückenfiguren im Mittelgrund lenken ebenfalls den Blick in die Tiefe und verdeutlichen gleichzeitig die Größenverhältnisse.
