Summary[edit]

Description
English: Close to the point where the road ends at the top of the valley for the Otaki neighborhood of the Imadate part of Echizen-city in Fukui prefecture. The sign warns of the danger of playing nearby. The cement wall catches upstream debris from typhoons or from the mountainside in times of earthquake, avalanche, or mudslides.

Periodically the dams may be cleared of debris to make room for future debris flows on the mountainside.
