• Área que tiene la membrana (por donde ocurre la difusión). • Gradiente de concentración (dentro y fuera). • Grosor de la membrana (es la distancia que tiene que recorrer la molécula para pasar).

Ahora D (coeficiente de difusión) depende de la molécula en cuestión:

• Del tamaño de la molécula. (a las moléculas con un radio molecular menor se les facilita el paso) • De la solubilidad La polaridad que la clasifica en: Hidrosoluble y liposoluble. Si son muy polares no pasan porque es energéticamente desfavorable atravesar la membrana (hidrosolubles), pero las moléculas pequeñas y que no sean polares atraviesan sin mayor dificultad (liposolubles)

• Composición de la membrana: Estructuras de los lípidos que forman la membrana
