English: The carousel house is a brightly-colored dome, suggestive of historic architecture and design styles. Glen Echo Park-Clara Barton House. The Dentzel Carousel, installed in 1921, continues to operate seasonally. The carousel has housed several different models of organ during its operation and has undergone various alterations during its lifespan. Between 1982 and 2003, it was meticulously restored under the guidance of Glen Echo Park curator Nick Veloz and artist Rosa Ragan. Its continued operation helps to perpetuate the feeling of the amusement park era. Additionally, the Dentzel Carousel is as much a piece of art as a ride, carefully sculpted with attention to style and workmanship of the era.
