Español: COMETA ISON.
Desde el 01.11 hasta el 26.11 se podrá observar el cometa ISON por el horizonte Este y 30 minutos antes de la salida del Sol (Crepúsculo Civil). La mejor visibilidad (mayor brillo, menor magnitud) será desde el 21.11 al 26.11, aunque muy cerca del horizonte. La imagen corresponde a la latitud Sur 34,5º (Buenos Aires), también válida para latitudes próximas. Las mejores observaciones se realizarán en los atardeceres del hemisferio Norte pero luego de su paso por detrás del Sol (Perihelio el 28.11 a las 18:41 U.T.), y esto desde el 2 de Diciembre hasta el 30 de Diciembre donde paulatinamente perderá su brillo (mayor magnitud). Recorrerá desde Scorpius, Ophiuchus, Serpens, Hércules, Corona Borealis, Hércules, Draco, Cassiopeia y Camelopardalis, es por ello que nos será invisible a los observadores del hemisferio Sur. El 26 de Diciembre estará a una mínima distancia de la Tierra de 64,33 millones de kilómetros, con una magnitud de +5,1. El cometa fue denominado C/2012 S1 (ISON) y descubierto el 21 de septiembre de 2012 por Vitali Nevski (Vítebsk, Bielorusia) y Artyom Novichonok (Kondopoga, Rusia) del observatorio ISON-Kislovodsk. |
