Fig. 2 for article "Pottery". Image of pottery shapes for Canaanite pottery in the period 1500-1000 B.C. Pottery of this kind is sometimes called 'Phoenician', but is not to be confused with pottery from Phoenicia. In the printed version of the Encyclopedia Biblica, the images are to scale, the scale being one tenth of actual size. The digital version of the images are roughly twice the size (and therefore about one fifth of actual size. The images ultimately originate from Flinders Petrie's archaeological work Tell el-Hesy
