The different viscosities of oil and vinegar produce unexpected art.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: I bought some olive oil and balsamic vinegar to attempt to replicate a design in a dipping sauce at one of my favorite restaurants. When I combined the two, this suspension resulted. I was struck by how it looks like some type of dark, shiny, liquid metal suspended in a viscous solution. It reminded me of the mimetic polyalloy of the T-1000 in "Terminator 2."
