- Support Took this picture a few years ago near Palisade, CO. It was shot on a Hasselblad 500C with Portra 400. -- wclarke 18:58, 16 September 2023 (UTC)

- Comment Extreme noise. Is that a deliberate photographic technique, though? It's kind of interesting. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:21, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
- Ikan Kekek: The noise is from the film grain. I think it gives the image more texture and emulates the look of an old western film, which felt fitting for a western landscape. The photo doesn't contain much digital noise, but rather film grain, which can be attractive. It is a mistake to put such an emphasis on every photo needing to be 100% polished and free of noise, which is so common at FPC. It deprives them of character and they feel sterile. I think too many photos here use the same digital techniques and there is little variation in photographic styles. - wclarke 14:49, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose Lake of FP quality. ~Moheen (keep talking) 08:35, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
- Comment I don't mind the grain, this is argentic photography. But the railing is distracting. Yann (talk) 18:31, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose I could let the sky pass as a variation of pointilism, but the blurred gate in the foreground combined with the flutter tape at the pasture fence are not matching my FP expectation, sorry --Virtual-Pano (talk) 21:16, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
- Kudos for trying a film shot! I think I see why you took that one. There is a FP hiding somewhere in that scene, and the fence has got a role to play in it. But something's not quite right yet, and I'm not even sure what it is ... --El Grafo (talk) 12:18, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
